Hi ,

About living in Moroc , you have a good explanation here.

http://www.pprune.org/terms-endearme...eign-f-os.html

I am also living here. Expect 1500€ minimum to live here by yourself. If you add some airline tickets to go home during your off duties...

About the company ....it`s a start up with all the inconviniences related to it..

Expect to pay 38% in taxes....No way to by pass it...

A place to be waiting for the end of the crisis in Europe..

Tks A-3TWENTY,
may I ask you how's about the average salary for a first officer, and if can you expect a quick upgrade to capt.?

Many thanks.

Renting a car in Casablanca is waste of money.
There are a very professional and cheap taxi services there with highly skilled drivers. You gonna feel safe

Hi,

Don`t expect a command course here , because we fly with validation. Even if you get an upgrade in your license , morocan authorities will only give you a validation for a capt.position if you have more than 500 hrs. in the left seat...so , despite what they say...don`t believe it...

Salary for F/O `s go to Air Arabia Careers in Air Arabia Maroc

Waste of money to rent a car??? You are kiding !!! The cheap taxis(Petit taxis) don`t go to the airport which is 35 Km far from the city.

You will really use the house allowance.8000 dirhams(700 euros) if you want a house for yourself. Maybe less if you share.

130 euros for water , gaz , light ,net , etc

600 euros to rent a car

I said that the cost of life here is 1500 euros/month , and this is true for me because I share an apartment. If you live by yourself , spouse , expect the double.

Roaster....well....

You are paid in dihams , so or you get all your money and change it in the black market or expect to lose some 300 euros in currency and transfer to Europe via bank.

I hope I helped....

Quality of life here....Bad...If you are not flying , you have nothing to do .Nothing.

99% of us are here looking for a job and /or waiting the end of the crisis.

Do you mean left seat of a multi-crew aircraft or the actual type (320) ?

Many tks A-3TWENTY,

You gave me a sharp view.
As you can imagine some of us with plenty of hours on bus are looking for an upgrade, so you can work in "non ideal" conditions for a while in order to get to, but with no possibility is really tough to leave your present job, even if on the rhs.

Regards.

TripleEng,

With plenty of RHS hours, Wizz will likely upgrade you in a year.

Have you applied?

This is an Air Arabia issue. The DAC has happily agreed in the very recent past to have proper upgrading courses approved. Has been done in Jet4you several times without any trouble.

You are paid in dihams , so or you get all your money and change it in the black market or expect to lose some 300 euros in currency and transfer to Europe via bank.
Another Air Arabia issue. They can very easily assist you in applying for the Residence Permit (Carte Sejour) and you have to open a Dirham convertible account with a bank. With your Working permit the bank will convert the incoming money happily to Euro and you can transfer it anywhere you want. This applies to direct employed crew as well as to contractors.

Quality of life here....Bad...If you are not flying , you have nothing to do .Nothing.
Poor man, this country has a lot to offer. Sure, it is not running in to you, it is you who needs to want to see it. Sitting in Casa and waiting for the next duty will not help; open your eyes and discover the country, there are charming places, even not too far from Casa.

8000 dirhams(700 euros) if you want a house for yourself.
Another Air Arabia issue; 8J and 8A are paying 1000€, still not enough in Casa to cover all costs, but it helps a lot.

600 euros to rent a car
Air Arabia is the only company which does not provide transport to the airport. Under your condition you need a car. But, consider a leasing with a manufacturer, a 12 months rental equals to the price of a new Dacia....and you have at least not wasted your money. There are not many well maintained used cars available, your car will be on the market at high value and will be sold easily. Waiting to find a new job will make this option however not very feasible.

The job market will get better next year but, there will be many who still may have to wait another year until the situation improves to allow for better choices. A lot of people will have to stick to what they have now. Air Arabia is not the best place to be as it seems. To cope with this, you need to get a life out of this, otherwise your work and private life will quickly deteriorate. If you want (have to) stay, grab what you can and find the goodies for you.

Good luck.

Hi Nightrider ,

1. About the upgrades in Jet4you , I didn`t know.May be this is also valid for AA.

2. AA does not assist you in anything. You are left at your own even if you don`t speak french which is the case of most of us.

3.Yes , you can open a convertible account and bla ,bla, bla. But the currency at the bank is very expensive and the cost of an international transfer is expensive too.
What I do is to change in the black market and take it with me to Europe in the pocket. You will save much money.
