jet4you is looking for moroccan pilots and i think air arabia as well. Are you type rated or not? Even atlas blue i thinks is looking for pilots . The best advice i can give you is go by yourself to the airlines and speak to them directly , this is the best way it works in africa

All those companies are looking for moroccan pilots , because this is the only way of treat people like **** and keep them.

But the problem is there are no experienced moroccan pilots around. At AAM there is only one who quit easyjet by a promise of the LHS.It`s still a FO and will continue to be. Although they promise everybody the left seat , no one was moved up till now. And they have good FOs ,some with 6000-7000 hours.

Someone wrote that the best way is to go there personaly....If you want to know the country , ok. If you want to speak with them ..They are nice to speak with , but they will be lieing most of the time and looking at your eyes.

Pilots there are struggling for a better roaster. They want two blocks of 5 days or 1 of 10 to be able to go home (commute). This is possible there because everytime you fly you do between 7 and 10 hours of block time. So even with this scheme of roaster pilots would be able to fly 90,100,105 hours a month which is normal here.
But they like to have 4,5 pilots on stand by to cover a total of 6 flights a day.
And also , since Casablanca has nothing to do , they know that if they call someone in his day off , people will fly because it`s better than spending a day doing nothing in Casa.

They are always saying that they will change the roaster , they ask pilots to work on it and make them a presentation of the new roaster , but everytime , at the very last moment they cancel the meeting or sometimes they hear you but do nothing. You speak in deaf ears.

They are there about 30 pilots and I can tell you that about 15 of the original group have already left. The other half is waiting for improvments in europe. The company is aware of people`s intention to move because this is not a secret for anybody.Managers were told about that directly, but they don`t care. There is just one moroccan who doesn`t want to leave. The group is very demotivated.

Casablanca is not as cheap as people use to think.AAM is the only one company which does not provide transportation to the airport which is 35Km from the city, so you have to rent a car or buy one.The rental costs you 500 euros a month .An apartment will cost you from 800 euros.GAs, food, internet, water , light etc will take you more 700.If you want to add some night life ,cost will increase a lot since this is a muslim country , so alcohol is accepted , but expensive. Average monthly expenses are from 2000 euros.

Payments are done in dirhams, so you have to transfer to your country or change it in the black market (to minimize costs) and take it home in the pocket. Jet4you and atlasblue pay you via broker more money and give you transportation. Hotel if you want(but then you don`t get accomodation allowance).

Tried to cover everything. In my opinion , if you are not employed , go. If you have a job.....stay where you are.Sure it`s better.

Guys,

Thank you very much for your feedback.
I am not TypeRated.

My roots are in Marrakech. So I would love to go back there and start with AB. But AB is getting there pilots from the RAM-academy . Perhaps it is a good idea to go there and visit them. And like A-3twenty said, they alway stay polite and will never hurt your feelings by telling you something that you would not like to hear.

But it is and stays Morocco. It is a country that says: it is not only what you know/can but who you know.
So If someone can share with me some names and phonenumbers please send me a PM.

If you got other tips, please don't hesitate to contact me!

Bahja77,

Be careful of the lies, jaleousy and lack of analysis of some people on this forum particularly of A3Twenty.

There are two Moroccans in the company now (and not only one as A-3Twenty mentioned). Another one should join soon.

The company did not promise any captain upgrade for anybody before joining a year ago (to the contrary to what A-3Twenty mentioned again). The company started a year ago and his focus is to settle down before thinking of upgrade. However, the upgrade captain program is on the way thanks to the new Training Manager.

The salary is pretty good for FO. For Captain it is average. However we all have received an increase. Indeed a part of our salary is paid based on the flight hours. We are paid credit hours now instead of actual hours which lead to an increase

The roster is a problem and the company makes efforts to improve the roster. For this they have charged a captain to make sure a good roster will come out.

A-3Twenty has certainly be fired by AAM for incompetence

Ciao

Carrying on regarding the lies of A3Twenty...

There is not 15 pilots who have left but 9. Some for familial reasons, some for country reasons, some for roster and some for money....

Few have been fired for attitude or incompetence (when the company started a year ago it was done in a rush and they did correspond to what the company was looking for for the long term)

Some wanted to leave because they have been here because they wanted to be in Morocco but because they have been fired by the previous airline in Europe.

Moroccans are not treated like ****. Everybody is treated the same way.

At Casablanca you can do alot of things (again to the contrary of what A3Twenty stated). It is on the atlantic coast with temperature varying between 10 and 30. You can do all the sports you want (Surf, tennis, football, rugby, sailing, horse....), there is enough good restaurants, night life, excursion to Marakech, Rabat, Aljadida, plenty of shops, cinema, concerts, people are very friendly and the Moroccan food is excellent....what else do you want?

Ciao

Some more questions:

just a matter of interest for those who are flying for thevery begining of the company, do you think things are improving (if yes is it in a good way)???

How come a F/O with Jet4U get upgrades and not in AA? they don't fly with valiation? special derogation?

Future of AA! are they waiting for more planes soon?

Thanks again

OUUUPPS I lost the begining of my message, but basically it was saying that there are good and bad things in every companies and countries.
You just need to do your own choices and a forum like this should be done for that purpose, give extra info to help in making those choices
Well I am a bit optimistic, when I see some agressive posts on this forum but anyway I think it should be that way..

Nevermind to get some more info I have decided to go there on Holidays with the family end of june, begining of july.
I would like to meet guys flying AA so we can have a chat and a couple of beers..

Just PM me if you are around and want to share you experience

A3X0

Looking at previous threads by A3TWENTY.....
What is for sure is that he is constantly changing companies.....being fired.....he is only a very angry, unsatisfied and unhappy man......
He has really been writing some offensive stuff. Anyhow....AA is not the first company he throws **** on. Casa is absolutely not that boring and AA is not that bad to work for.
......where is A3TWENTY working now?.....would be good to know....

Hi all,

Just wondering...More than 2000 total time, and 900 on type is good enough for AAM? Thinking about applying by the end of the summer...

Regards

Sorry for that but i do not think is a layer. Actually company is doing some promises with no result. It's only a carrot for everybody. roster nothing, credits hours nothing, upgrades, sorry for that but they say that they are working on it , no results, treatment for crews it is a joke.
About the country corruption be ready to pay all police you find, dirty city, expensive for nothing to do apart stay at home.
But what is true is that they are working to improve and to make life easy.
A joke of course.

GSmini, I am applying for this position for over a year now. The only way I know how to, is through their online system. Have a little more hours... Never had a response..

Blackhouse...It`s useless...

There are always balls sucker around...

My contribution to this forum was just to enlight those who are willing to go there. Of course there are always people to every kind of jobs.

IT`s easy to see that even there ,there are happy people (A3XO and rotation72). And I`m happy for them. I hope they stay there for long. The longer they stay there the less the risk of having a coleague which satisfy himself with peanuts.

By the way, all those promises mentioned by the wanabe chiefs are still promises.Like in the very begining.

For those who want to know where I am... I just can say that I`ve got one of the best contracts in the world ,but , no thank you , I don`t want you as coleague again.
