Guys, collegues.

After your initial enthousiasm, please make a thorough search on this forum and through other sources.

After that, you are more than welcome to join the bandwagon. Some of us still like it here, however mostly new joiners are very rapidly disillusioned and it shows on the overall morale. It is bearable as a skipper and as long as it took 3-4 years to command, most would bite that bullit. The T&Cs however have eroded to the point that as an FO you might struggle, no matter what the salary or the shiny show-villa at recruitment might look like.

As today it will take some 6-8 years to command now, think twice.
Again, if it suits you, then you are more than welcome, but please make really sure first.

Disillusionment in our job is a safety hazard and is potentially contagious.

What specifically is the latest reduction in T&Cs? Have they reduced the basic pay, flight pay or housing allowance, where was the reduction made?

GMDS... dont offer advice if you have no clue. Guys getting commands on the airbus have been here 4 years or just under. Trust me on that. Whatever will happen in the future remains to be seen, but dont pass it on as fact.

Yes the conditions have eroded over the last years. Yes it goal posts move all the time. Was it that good at home? didnt things change? maybe they should have changed and that why you had to come here? just guessing.
