Apparently QATAR are seeking to borrow/recruit some pilots from another airline and having searched for information I have come across the current thread full of vile and hatred from several of their pilots. So is it all bad out in Doha?
A Few Questions
What is Doha like to live in for and ex pat family with school age children?
How would QATAR FO's view very experienced FO's joining and then being given quick commands on the 777 (or is it just a carrot?)?
What is the current and planned route structure on the 777?
What sort of accommodation would you get for QAR 10,300 a month?
Rosters? I know these will always be an ever shifting pile of sand but would they provide a "commutable" lifestyle say from France? How many days off a month and in what sort of blocks
Basically any advice or information greatly appreciated or PM's
Thanks

On the 777 for instance after a Houston or a Whashington (ultra long haul) how many days off in a row would you have?
Is it true that they have the habbit of rostering a stand-by day in the middle of a block of days off so it is difficult to go anywhere (ie to go back home to Europe)?

Oxy do NOT believe anyone who tells you that you will get a quick command because of your high hours. A handful of FOs here were promised that during recruitment a few years ago and it was not true. I don't want to think the company is intentionally lying, it could be a mixup between HR and flight ops management
. Whatever the case if you join as an FO you will be at the end of a (very) long seniority line. You will get a chance at command but not out of seniority.
