Flying for Vietnam Airlines pros and cons?

Vietnam airlines is accepting apps for A320 captains through parc aviation again. Anyone have any experience flying for Vietnam airlines in particular and living/working in Vietnam in general? I'm comfortably employed at the moment but its alway a good idea to have plan B ready in this economic climate. Spoke to one friend so far who goes there on business and is ecstatic about the country and its people. Just trying to get some info on quality of life and so forth.

The foods good! Saigon and HCMC are both great cities to live an work in. The dollar goes a long way.

I'm just back from Vietnam and was most impressed. The folk in particlar were great, the Country beautiful and the grub teriffic!

I'd like to know what the wages are like too! Sadly not AB rated though.

Europe destinations:CDG,FRA,DME. There are rumors to fly to LHR and PRG.
No direct flights to N.America(plans are to start flights to LAX via TPE,KIX or NRT)
