Smile Arik Air (HiFly)

Who is HiFly? Are they a leasing company? Are they seperate than normal Arik Air crews? I think they fly the A340s for Arik Air in Nigeria. Cheers.

Hello,

Hifly is a Portuguese operator, ex-Air Luxor, I believe they have a charter operation as well as leasing a/c.

They have A340 and also an A330 currently leased in Australia if I am not mistaken, doing some military flying for the aussie troops.

Donkey

Air Luxor no longer exists.

When Air Luxor came to the end of its existance in the summer of 2006 it had 3 aircraft in its AOC. 2 A320s and 1 A330 which was in a very good contract in Australia transporting aussie troops to Kuwait. What the owners of Air Luxor did at the time was to create a new company, HiFly, and put the A330 on that AOC and sell Air Luxor to a third entity who ceased Air Luxor operations a few months later.

Do the HiFly/Arik Air A340 pilots live in Lagos or do they continue to live in Portugal and reposition themselves in Lagos for onward flights? Where do most of the pilots live (regardless of whether they fly the Aussie or the Arik Air flights)?

I hear Arik Air may potentially fly to New York from Lagos in the future - maybe they will need more pilots...

Arik Air through Aeroprofessional are currently recruiting 340 pilots, preferably with 330/340 ratings. They are not looking at 330 rating only since they operate mixed fleet.
Contact Aeroprofessional urgently.
The 340/330 guys fly out of London, company seems to be ok according to friends on the inside, pays not bad and hurry up if interested.

hurry, hurry and then wait and wait and wait and....

Lets say that AeroProfessional is as professional as all agencies.
Initially they want everything from you asap and than you dont get any response on what is going on.
Somethimes they even cancell interviews, because "some friends" are interested to join.

Anyway good luck.

Probably a good opportunity for furloughed Virgin A340 pilots with a London base...

Hi Fly- Arik air

Hi guys!

As for Cabin Crew I know they sent all the docs to Hi Fly today. Do you know just in a case where the interview will be held, as I know the dates are 14 or 15th...

Have you got info about Hi Fly and arik, what do you think about salary? I asked Aeropro maybe there will be some per diems on days on in africa but they said that everything is included in the salary....but the salary is not low, to my mind as for cabin crew is extremely low, I just dont know what to think. maybe to try and apply to Hi Fly it self, I heard that CC employed by Hi Fly not Aeropofesionals are better paid and also they get to fly various routes. Well dont know yet what they will say about that interview will they ask to attend it but for 6 days on and 2 off -meaning-being home 8 days a month the salary is ridiculous or maybe its ok?
