Thumbs down "Wheels coming off Jet Airways?"

Wide body ex-pats got a nasty surprise. Jet Airways management changed the T&Cs of their contracts. I was told that the company refused to pay travel expenses, reduced pay 5%, reduced living expenses and all expats will be moved out of India. Maybe someone out there has more details?
The B777 fleet is being wet leased to just about anyone who'll have them and in six months, only Indian pilots will be flying the wide bodies, which will be the A-330.
With marble counter tops and teak floors and starry skies over an empty first class, the 777-300s are too heavy to fly long range or to get descent altitudes for fuel economy.
Looks like the losses are big and the ex-pats are blamed for all the company's problems, not the "experts" who selected the options for the 777s and made them unprofitable from the start.
SWIP (Indian pilot union) has been trying to get rid of the expats in a concerted effort with the press. I think they'll inherit a small, domestic airline and then they can fight the Kingfisher pilots when they merge.

No wonder when the good Guy´s in the Office got mobbed out in early 2006 and later the ship was brought into bad waters.....

Sorry to hear that but "GB" and his team was the better option but Naresh Goyal was listen to the wrong voice. Since WB and his shadow are out of Etihad they do better........

Fly safe and land happy
