50% Roster - overtime
I am negotiating a 50% roster with my present employer ( short haul in northern europe ). The initial package on offer is 50% of a full timer's salary and leave with no allowance for overtime. The full timers get overtime at 86 hours and I regard it as perfectly reasonable to have an overtime allowance also as it would be very easy with our network to fly 60 hours in half a month.
Accepting that my employer incurs some extra costs (eg sim costs are the same for a 50% pilot) in employing me part time,I still regard it as perfectly reasonable that overtime is paid in my case.
For those of you with part time contracts, what agreements do you have with your employers ?
Thanks,
qrh747.

Sim costs are x2 to acheive the 1 establishment pilot as you need another 50% roster, i.e. buddy roster.
Overtime payments must be 'AFS' based, so good luck if you are the first to go for this at your airline.
