Hi people!
Somebody could tell information about Wizz-air?? What they demand?
People who many hours in turboprop... no experienced pilot.Yo have to pay the TR ...???

º Have completed jet familiarisation/orientation course or be prepared to complete (at own expense) before firm offer is made by Wizz Air
º Know English language fluently

Doubt it. I think they mean a European national ATPL gained before JAA was formed. If you had an FAA licence, you would have to convert it to fly for Wizz. I'm not sure what the current requirements are but I'm guessing that the 14 JAA exams would have to be completed.

If you are bulgarian, hungarian and romanian you go direct to Wizz air, even if you have an FAA license you can joyn them as an FO. If you are not local then you have to go through agencies. There are two agencies out there. They hire FAA guys (if not local) with time on type only. They want 300 hours on type.
My friend is a hungarian and he is in the Oktober class for wizz air. He hold FAA license, not JAA, but he got around 1500 hours total time.

1-YES, Wizz Air employ guys with FAA licence.
2-NO, you don't need time on type or even an Airbus type rating.
3-Correct 2 agencies are currently recruiting for Wizz, I would strongly recommand to go with Confair in AMS.
For info Hungary is not YET a full JAA member so they are accepting ANY ICAO licences....you just have to convert it into a National Hungarian licence (takes about 2 months, type rating+conversion).
When Hungary finally becomes a FULL MEMBER, then your National licence will become JAA.

Yes, not yet a full member, but I expect that country to become one within the next 12 months.....what it takes is only an audit from the JAA.
The day they become a full member the "loop hole" will be close! so hurry up....if you don't want to sit the 14 exams.

74world, it's my understanding that the Hungarian CAA have failed 2 JAA audits so far (certainly 1 at least), and "in the next 12 months" has a familiar ring to it for Hungarian pilots. This has lead to many Hungarian pilots speculating that the reason for the lack of Hurry Up on the part of the CAA may be political - in the sense that it makes it far harder for their pilots to disappear off to better-paying jobs in the rest of the EU.
Even when the audit is passed, there remains the distinct possibility that new JAA converted licences may not be accepted by other member states, especially for engineers as has happened in the past with their neighbours.

Once the audit is pass, then the Hungarian CAA won't be able to do what they are currently doing, that is: accept ICAO licences.
For pilots ALREADY holding a National licence it will be an automatic switch over (if requested).......
What I've mentioned above has already happened with the "new EU members", and it will happen again.
Further more, Wizz Air is not currently JAA compliant for fun.

Hi,
it`s a difficult question it depends where you pay your taxes,between 1900-3150 Euro net.,but most of us get between 2000-2500 net
(It varies because in some countries you do not have to tax the flight pay!)

Hi,
Captain salary is 40000 Euro p/a plus sectors = 40000 + min 450x60Euro additional you get 8% for insurance etc. 72360Euro p\a(gross),net varies just as I said 2 posts before!!!!!
