Who knows, maybe some day they'll even go back to flying Boeings again.
Perhaps some economic headwind ahead (fall out from US credit crisis) and they are able to play out Boeing against Airbus to get a rock bottom deal, just like they did a few years ago.

Recruitment Freeze
Bad news guys and girls. The Boeings and old GB Airbus's are being phased out quicker than originaly planned so the fleet total will be 5 less than originaly planned for 08. This means that easy have excess Flight deck and Cabin crew. Andy Harrison is sharpening his axe

This does not mean flight crew, because if so, then we are 200/2/5=20 flight crew per aircraft !!
So we should be presently 157x2X20=6280 pilots ! 
Considering the fact that Mr Harrison speaks obviously of Flight and Cabin crew, this means that we are 200/6/5=6.66 crew per aircraft.
At the present level of 157 aircaft we are then around 6300 crew with easyJet.
So 200 people represents 3.2% of the actual crew population.
Given the rate of expension of around 15% that we have, were the hell on earth should this mean any possible job cuts ???

What is the delay expected for an A320 type rated pilot with 100 hours on type (and counting
) + 1200 tt. if I submit my application now?

Know of guys being typerated being in the pool since mid 07 with a predicted startdate mid 2009, which is gonna be even further delayed now.

The pillars of the business model of easyJet as Mr Harisson said it himself are a 15% ROE and a 15% growth.
The increased fleet rationalization has more to do with the fact that 65 A319 with CFM engines are now available since the banckrunpcy of SkyBus in the USA.
This means Boeing pilots will fly the Airbus soon, but also will will receive extra airbuses to keep growing, may a be at a slightly slower rate, but at a positive rate anyway.
I am more woried about EMA and Dortmunt bases, CDG LYS MXP and Zurich ! will need more aeroplanes soon.... (easySwitzerland did not stop recruiting ! )

Anyone know what bases Easyjet might possibly be recruiting for, or are low on numbers...if any?! That includes the international bases like GVA etc. Any info would be appreciated.

5150 doesn't seem that way to me - those 737 pilots were taken on 4 months ago when we needed them. We didn't need 'bus drivers then, and probably not many for a while yet.
Lots of things don't make sense if you apply 20/20 hindsight.

The annoying thing is that 737 pilots who were at the same assessment as myself were taken on 2 months later, and will end up flying the Bus for easy sooner than I will. Where's the sense in that?
What use is a bus rating for an airline that requires Boeing pilot's??
It's just a coincidence that they MIGHT end up flying the airbus eventually, but that applies to all easyJet flight deck. . .
I suppose I still come across as an a*se cos I'm not telling you what you want to hear?
