Aer Lingus Interviews

Are they still going ahead or not? As it has gone very quiet. I see the BFS grand opening has been postponed to January. Who is going to operate the flights already sold for the 10th December? Looks like a bit of a PR disaster.

They can delay the training as they can support the BFS station from DUB. Initally only one a/c is required to do the AMS rotation.

Has anyone accurate information about what is happening at Aer Lingus? Have people being offered jobs? Have they finished hiring?

Have applicants being contacted with a yes or no answer?

Any info would be welcome.

Thanks

Several DEC's have now finished the process and have signed contracts recently for start dates in a few weeks. Some were given contracts before any sim or medical, some were offered contacts only after completing all stages. taking advantage of Mr Cullen's 'blind eye'

So if you haven't heard anything, is that a good or bad sign? Do they send out PFO's or do they just let you fester? Has anybody had a PFO, those who have been waiting a couple of weeks? Or are are there more negotiations between the Union to sort out first?

I'm not minded either way whether it's for DUB or BFS.
I would just like to know! Is there actually a Plan at all?

I know a few guys who went to see them. No PFO letter. No correspondence. They all gave up weeks ago but they all had 3 months or more required notice in common. In fairness none of them seemed too concerned..they all had good jobs anyway.

A colleague of mine has an interview and physcometric testing with Aer Lingus next week. The recruitment is ongoing. Wouldn't get too worked up about some letters being sent out.

A friend of mine received a letter on Thursday to say he had been unsuccessful with his application for FO. He was a low hours bod.

No rumour involved. It's fact and mildly interesting from the sidelines too considering the IALPA agreement was supposed to have stopped it. I'm just curious as to where it ends. Do both sides just pretend it isn't happening or will will they cobble together something meaningful that both sides can stick to.
