Don't bother. They neither appreciate you or reward you appropriately. You are there for the production of profit for everybody else further up the food chain. It is getting worse rather than better. buku jobs in Flight, look elsewhere. Others already doing the job are alrerady doing so, and leaving.

again, don't bother.

Please, do your homework, thoroughly, on this empire! It's the only time in my life I've NOT enjoyed my work/flying. The posts that reflect my experiences are from Hostile23 (i think that's right) without repeating it all do a search for his/her posts. The glory days of working for CX are over. I assumed the negative CX stuff on pprune were exagerrated!!!!!

For the Euro bases, what aircraft do they fly - 400 or the 200? If both types, what is the likelihood you will get the 400 vs. the 200 (probability)?

Cheers

Mainly -200's in the EU. All -400's are in USA. Slim chance.

Not true. The 200s are based in Fra and Man, the european 400s are based in Paris and London. As the 200 gets phased out all european freighter bases will go to the 400.

At the moment you probably have a fifty/fifty chance of being offered the 400. You can express a preference when they inform you that your application was successful. If they can they will accomodate you, if they have an earlier start date for the other aircraft type they will probably offer it anyway, it's up to you to pass or accept. It would probably be frowned upon if you declined more than once or twice unless you could offer a better reason than type preference...

Best of luck

I didn't relise that the pay was that low... CX Cargo must be well towards the bottom of the big players when it comes to pay and conditions. I was amazed at the daily per diem being the same as 46GBP!!! Come on CX ... you should be offering better than that! I was thinking about throwing in a application but there is no point!

Also didn't bother accepting the invite to interview.

For that money I would rather stay in Europe.

All very sad really:-(.

Well rest assured guys and girls, you have all made the right choice not joining this place. It's a horrible place to work. Lad's on the base i'm on are all good blokes, but the company as a whole, C@*P.

I am surprised they get anyone working for them at this rate.
I would probably consider giving up flying altogether if this was the only option. My sympathies to the people who haven't got the choice and have to do it.
When you think that people outside the world of flying for a living believe it's all glamour, posh cars and fat salaries....

What are wages in dollars?

Ladies and Gents - Please help me out. What are the wages in dollars? What is the item on the CX recruiting page that you may go to work as a second officer or first officer for a CX affiliate?
Thanks very much.
