I am not connected with any of these companies, but if aircraft is a major factor for you, then please be wary of JB007's comment, as it may be inaccurate. Look at this: Goes in order of regestration, year built, previous identity and previous airline.

G-IGOA 1990 EI-BZK exDormacken, lsd to Phillipene

G-IGOC 1989 EI-BZH exDormacken, lsd to Phillipene

G-IGOE 1989 EI-BZI exDormacken, lsd to Phillipene

G-IGOF 1990 PK-GWF ex Garuda

G-IGOG 1988 F-GLLE ex TAT/BA

G-IGOH 1988 F-GLLD ex TAT/BA

G-IGOI 1989 G-OBMD ex British Midland

G-IGOJ 1998 NEW FROM USA

G-IGOK 1999 NEW FROM USA

G-IGOL 1999 NEW FROM USA

G-IGOM 1999 NEW FROM USA

G-IGOP 1999 NEW FROM USA

G-IGOR 1999 NEW FROM USA

G-IGOS 1994 D-ADBH ex Deutsch BA

G-IGOT 1990 NO DATA AVAILABLE

G-IGOU 1994 D-ADBI ex Deutsch BA

So as you can see, Go have no less than 6 brand new 733's direct from Boeing. There are no 737's from Balkan, and the ones which are second hand come from reputable operaters within Europe, with the exception of G-IGOF (Asia) and G-IGOT (USA).

What I would say is that as an outsider who has no experience with any of these airlines I would certainly have a hard time over which one to choose. Go seems to be the best option IMHO, new bases at Bristol and Dublin, how long before we start to see European operations from EDI/GLA??? I have flown with Go on 'OI, an older aircraft from 1989 and 'OR, brand new from Boeing in 1999, and I can honestly say that for aircraft 10 years apart in age both were immaculate, both inside and outside, OI certainly wasn't showing its age in any way that I could see in the cabin. The only differance was the inclusion of the rather dodgy Go theme tune just before take off and landing on 'OR, as well as safety demo's that were recorded (in both English and Italian- we were going to/from Venice) rather than spoken by the cabin crew. Of course things could be rather differant inside the cockpit and/or inside the company, but first impressions of the aircraft as a pax were certainly first class. Good luck in making your decision!

JB007,
Fair enough, I didn't know about G-IGOV, and I didn't know you worked in Go ops either- you obviously know more about it than me, working there and everything Like I say I don't have any company connections with Go, I got the data off the CAA SRG website- just trying to be helpful in providing the information from which an informed decision can be made between Go and Easyjet

PS.. Yes, I probably do need to get out more.. snivvel snivvel... I'll get my coat

Thumbs up

JB007 or anyone else that might know?

Since Balkan went more or less down the tubes, I am guessing that Go will be paying peanuts for the aircraft.

Sorry to divert off the topic in hand!

Regards
