Question Air Atlanta Icelandic

Can anyone help me out with this? What's the difference in Air Atlanta contracts? ie. between "Direct" and Air Crew Executive (ACE).

Also is it possible to go straight on to the 767? or does one have to 'do time' on the 747?

Cool

Best to check directly (no pun intended) with Direct or Ace.

ACE contact: [email protected] if memory serves

I think one has to do time on the L1011s first. But if you are current on 767, I guess you go direct.
They got great looking cabin crew too....

Money's terrible! Foreign and contract pilots have to be available all the time and are treated quite differently to the Icelandics. Not unlike Appartheid actually!

Those with an Icelandic contract are in theory working 3 weeks on/3 weeks off. The others no system at all, and as a new pilot with AA this is your category. The 3 on/3 off system is not working either, according to pilots flying for them, You can without any problems find a better paid 737 contract in Europe. But if you get a kick out of wingspan and MTOW rather than life style, go for it.

According to insiders; Air Atlanta have no HR strategy, and it is basically a mess.

Question

Who is the Chief Pilot there (Air Atlanta)? Why isn't he educating the company about how to handle pilots with respect?

Why is it called Air Atlanta if it is KEF based?

OH.

Question

WASSUP!!! Noticed you have an .IS ISP

Are you Icelandic?.....if so, or not, can recommend a great book.. "The Xenophobe's Guide to Icelanders" author, who cares ...should be able to find it at the REYkyavik airport bookstore... A must read for prospective AAI folks.

BTW the 747 Fleet Capt is... wait for it....a pretty good guy to work for/with.

As for Air Atlanta name, better ask Arngrimmur

Folks,

Are you complaining about Air Icelandic?
Take a time with Asiana Airlines: Air Icelandic would seem a kindergarten by comparison!...
Take care...
