Flybe Bases & Fleet size?

Hi all

I have done an extensive search on the internet and these forums but I cannot seem to get a definative answer since FlyBe took over BA Connect, because all the references on the web seem to conflict one another or is 6 months out of date. Unless I am missing something silly there is no reference to the above on the net which is set in stone.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with the bases & fleet sizes, for flybe I have:-

Jersey - Guernsey - Southampton - Norwich - Birmingham - Edinburgh - Glasgow - Belfast

And since the aquisition of BA Connect - Manchester - Liverpool - Newcastle ? there must be more.

Fleet size, this is what I have.

30 Q400s in service plus 15 firm orders - 15 options
4 195s in service, a further 10 on firm order

How about the BAE146 & Embraer 145? also has flybe returned the 3 737s to Astraeus?

Liverpool and Newcastle were not BA Connect bases, and are not now Flybe bases.
Isle of Man, Inverness and Manchester are the bases we have acquired which are new to Flybe.

Oh you missed Exeter off the list of pre-existing Flybe bases.

Fleet

The Flybe fleet includes the following aircraft (at June 2007):[5]

• 1 BAe 146-100
• 6 BAe 146-200 + (one German-registered aircraft (from WDL Aviation) is wet-leased until 31 August 2007[6])

• 9 BAe 146-300
• 6 Bombardier Dash 8 Q311
• 31 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 (further 29 on order)
• 10 Embraer ERJ 145 EP
• 18 Embraer ERJ 145 EU
• 4 Embraer 195 AR (10 on order)
• 2 Fokker 100 (two Croatian-registered aircraft are wet-leased until 8 June 2007 pending approval by the CAA for longer lease[7])

Some of the former BA Connect aircraft are still flying in British Airways colour schemes without any titles.
In November 2006, the Flybe fleet age was 8.3 years[8].
Flybe has ordered an addiational 16 Q400 aircraft these will be used to replace the Embraer 145 inherited from BA connect buyout.

Aircraft orders

• On 6 June 2005 Flybe placed an order for 14 Embraer 195 aircraft plus options on an additional 12 aircraft. Flybe is the worldwide launch customer for the Embraer 195. Delivery of the aircraft started in September 2006 and will be completed in November 2007. The new aircraft will replace Flybe's BAe 146 aircraft, completing the fleet rationalisation started in 2003 which also includes an order for up to 61 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft (41 firm orders and 20 options).
• On 14 June 2005 Flybe converted four existing Dash 8 Q400 options into firm orders bringing its fleet of Q400s to 45 aircraft when they are delivered.[9]
• On 1 September 2006 the airline received its first 118-seat Embraer 195, the launch customer of the product. Fitted with single Head-up Guidance System (HGS) and configured to offer single-class service, the aircraft is intended to be used extensively within Flybe’s existing and expanding network, replacing the airline’s BAe 146s.
• In May 2007 the airline signed a deal for 15 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft valued at $394 million, with options for a further 15. It is the world's largest Q400 operator and this order will increase its Q400 fleet to 60[10].

Just read that FlyBE shortly hope to buy out BMI Regional and BMI Baby.

They're looking to become a mini British Airways!

May I ask where you read this? I remember reading a sole report from the Mail a few months back which didn't cite any sources whatsoever. Anything more substantiated than this?

Not sure why they would want regional having just about phased out all of their 145's.
