Oh, don't get me wrong, now its here I love reading it, but I won't post my salary on here because its my business and no one else's. Generally asking what someone's salary is is a big social faux pas isn't it?

US Based Mechanic for Major Airline

Line Maint. Tech, (Aircraft Maint Engineer to most other countries)
I work midnights, 9:30pm till 7:30am with middle of the week days off. Been at said job 6.5 years and finally making decent money. $40.20 USD per hour or $6432 USD per month.

Pre-tax for 2007 exceeded $102,000+ USD with a little overtime. Twelve Floating Holidays a year and three weeks vacation.

No pension but company matched 401K retirement plan, company matches dollar for dollar up to 7.3%. We have a Profit sharing plan as well, which to date is at $33,754.23 USD for the 6.5 years I've been here. This can only be invested much like our 401K retirement.

ZED's on several major carriers and ID90's on many other airlines.
Free unlimited (Space A) passes for myself, wife+kids and parents with my airline.

Aer Arann FO, Year 1
Average Take Home per month : EUR 3300
Expect more in summer, less in winter

Edit- Sector/Duty Pay to increase from 01/08. A quick glance suggests approx. an extra EUR 240 per month for an average month (70 hours)

KLM

December a great month for KLM pilots as we get a 13th paycheck, got to love this company. Pre-tax for December 2007 just over Euros 18K/Sterling 13K after 14 years totaal on the job, now left seat 737. What with ability to work 80%, 67% or even 50% on the 737 fleet, parental leave, partner travel (same-sex non-rev privileges due liberal Dutch society), jumpseat free to/from home to some tax-friendly country of your choice and you get - I think - the best airline to work for in Europe. Plus we're expanding and (will) need pilots beyond our limited national ability to provide, so perhaps a set of blond clogs under your bed is in the offing?

Knew Air Berlin wasn't fantastic but I never had any idea they paid that little, comes as a surprise to me. Carter you'll have plenty of hours and a good type, might want to think about working in the UK?

@ caudillo

Well in the high season, it is even more, sometimes in summer you are flying over 110 block hours and then the paycheck is ok (around 3500€net) but I agree with you its hard work...
Just got around 11-12% payrise over the next 1 1/2 years.
Move to the UK? Wan´t to make me an offer?
Ok joking apart I´m leaving AB in the near future anyway.

Cheers!

Construction site worker,
9,5e/h.
Good stuff: Saving money for flying school.
Bad stuff: Heavy work, no overtime/weekend pay, no payed holidays/sickdays, only pay is 9,5€ per hour.
Crappy deal, and boss is not paying what he should. Of course no time for life

Basic day: Get up 5:20, in home about 20-21.

App. 13h working time per day. Last two weeks 147h, including weekend.

So brutto earnings 2000-3000€.

Searching a new job also, still need to work & save at least year

B747SP VVIP in the Persian Gulf.
Salary + Housing + Schooling + Family medical + Per Diem + 13th month
Net monthly : +/- 11,000 Stirling for Captain, +/- 8,000 F/O & F/E
Must watch it as local currency is tied to the tanking $ and inflation is rising.
