It felt like this thread just transformed into a simple list of where people would like the next base to be. I was more interested to hear if anyone know any serious negotiations going on or if the company is buying slots etc which would indicate that the airport is being looked at as a base.

CWL / BPL etc?
The Company have bases in BRS and LPL - how could it possibly make sense to open a base a few miles up the road and compete with an airport you already serve in the same catchment area?
The nearest airport to LPL I could see them considering as an option would be Doncaster-Sheffield, the nearest to Bristol probably would be Bournemouth. Both would be serving mainly different catchment areas.

The sense would be in me only having 4 miles to work and back. Makes perfect sense to me.
Relax a little bit buddy, we're only playing
Or Warton, EGNO would be acceptable too, 5 miles.

Actually I wasn't joking about CWL.
Only 10-20% of the catchment area overlaps (according to the airparts themselves).
Baby do not have a management that are proactive enough to develop low cost markets. As they have proved at CWL, MAN, MME and EMA.
South Wales could be a good market for EASY and as I said many of the guys at Baby would be very interested, if it did happen. Plus any BACON guys in the area who don't want to go to BHX or EXT. Might be a simple base to crew fairly quickly.

EZY Pulling the LPL base
One base easyjet may be pulling is LPL - Ive Heard from a reliable source that they're fed up with a lot of aspects of the entire LPL operation especially the Ground Handling from their agent. Its blatantly obvious that Ryanair are getting all the special treatment from LPL airport authorities now.

with the order and options that Easy has made, I am sure that a lot of us here will see their Favorite Bases in the not so far Future.
if you compare to FR we don't have that many bases in Europe so my guess is that for a while that will be the trend.

It will NOT be another UK base.
When it comes to the comment on LPL - LPL is EXPANDING, not anywhere near downscaling or closing.
As someone already stated, Cologne is a good guess...But my guess is still Athens or Munich. WeŽll know before the end of the summer I guess...

I think easy considers the UK market saturated.
AMS is too expensive, BRU too soon.
AGP, ALC, MUC likely
and the one that keeps coming back, Athens.
Didn't easy already apply for 2008 Tel Aviv slots? Kinda makes sense out out Athens.
