As a Captain with a UK charter could have afforded a 2 week holiday in the Jumeirah Beach - with EK couldn't afford to go for a meal there!!

I assume you mean the Missus is a career woman, and a move to DXB and her increase in salary and benefits (as well as an upward career move), will far offset any decrease in your stature. Let the woman take care of you while she satisfies her ambitions man!
