Working conditions are pretty good compared to others I have worked at. Basically 9 days off plus 2 vacation days that you can save for annual leave or take monthly giving you 11 days a month off. Schedules don't change much and a FRA base would not be a problem. KAL serves FRA, not sure of the frequency but one of my classmates is from FRA and is based there. We just got $1000.00 increase in salary this month.

Contractclyde et al.

I might refer you to the far east thread as well as your Search link above.

The far east link will offer you many many details from who know.

Including which contractors to use and to avoid.

Cheers

Hi 400drvr. I've recently passed the 744 capt. screening last Aug. and was confirmed for the May '08 start. I'm type-rated and currently flying for an Asian carrier. Could you please share your experience on the entire training processs- from the ground phase to the simulator and line flying? What's the passing/mortality rate? Are the instructors fair and professional? Thank you.

filejw,

So far I have only operated to Incheon from days off and I normally operate out of SEA or commercial to LAX and fly one of three pax flights from there.

Cheers

Korean

Do you have to be rated on the 744? Does it take 9 month from selection to start of training as mentioned above? Can you be based in the US and fly from the US or do you have to commute? Anyone more news? thanks guys.
