hi everybody,sorry to disturbe you guys,but maybe the day able to change my life has come.does anybody know anything about ek interview in dubay?is there any data base regarding technical and psycological questions?waiting for any reply.....thanks you all!

Just got back from the interview and was turned down after the first day. No sour grapes but my objective opinion. They use poor simulator ride as a smoke screen. My group had a B-777 Varig LCA told the same thing. I feel that it is the HR person that gives you a thumbs up or down before lunch. They look at your physical appearance, how committed you are to living there, and your interaction with Emirates personnel. Whenever a HR person was in the room, they were always making marks on their paper whenever you spoke or did anything. The technical test should be called trivia pursuit and anybody with over 5,000 hours should ace the sim ride. However, if you look at all of the pilots around the sim building, they all look and act the same. If you do not fit the mold, forget wasting your time and spending your money hiking to the desert.

Uh....no, if the sim ride is poor you do not pass go and do not proceed to the next exercises. EK have simple pass/fail criteria until you get to the wash up at the end. Then everyone's input about the various exercises is looked at and as objective a decision as it is poosible to make is made about whether or not to offer you a job. If you did a good sim but appeared a bit weird, they would spend the time to see whether or not the first impression they got about you was valid or not. If you were the cleanest cut candidate on the planet even the sharpest suit in the world would not save you from a crap sim.
But....they don't. Some guys get a bit worked up and do not do themselves justice; others are just not that good. The number of hours flown is not a reflection of either ability or competence.
So you are saying that a Local, a Brit, a Mexican and an Aussie all look and act the same. I want some of what you are smoking, it must be great to live in a such bland pink world. Just glad to hear that there are no sour grapes on your behalf!

With the Sim Check.... is it the same Sim for all...e.g. do all candidates fly the 777 or 340's or 330 Sim...Also how long is the Sim check ride go for and is it just the basics e.g.;. General handling etc?

Nahh I think he ment we all look good and crisp in 44 dec heat. Toned biceps when we reach for the Porsche keys on the table...
We all look the same because you were too stressed to notice...just a blur, right? Doesnt mean you are not a ace. Just not that day maybe..
Too recommend a DEC candidate to mail an EK FO for advice is like tossing a baby before tigers...
Sim is both handling and decission making. Low viz, eng. fail, vor tracking....good luck

Looking for info about working conditions at UAE
I have an interview for UAE in three weeks and curios about working conditions, etc. Wondering if I should make the hike from NY for the interview. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
