easyjet airbus bases comparison
hi
I would like to hear from easy bus drivers about pros and cons of the different bases including the continent ones.
Using the search function I found that quality of life and even pay may be a lot different from base to base, but I can't find out which are the pros and cons of each base except for the London bases which seem to be the two worst bases due to incredibly high cost of living.
Which base is more likely to be assigned to a bus driver now?
thanks

GATWICK!
Because, who wants to go to GATWICK!
Honestly, STN and LGW cost of living is high. On the other hand you have a good chance to become a trainer if based at London bases (majority of trainers are from London bases), you have instead of minimum 66 hours rest (after earlies) min 72 hours only at London bases. (LTN.LGW,STN)!
Another major point: which side of the road you like to drive on?
A honest answer regarding bases? It depends most on your personal preferences. The variety is tremendous! Think just about the different mentalities! British, scottish, german, french, italian, swiss!
One point is still granted: all bases have the same pay scale!
I believe most demand is for LGW. The guys from UK probably know more about that.

thanks kraut
I'm italian and can only speak english and italian so my choice would be limited to MXP or UK bases, but I know from other posts that mxp is fully booked for a long time, incidentally gatwick is the one which would allow me to travel back home more frequently as almost all ej italy bound flights are from gatwick, why you say nobody wants to go to gatwick?

LGW not liked by some due to:
high workload at a very busy Airport
Long inbound and outbound holding times
The joys of X-ray Staff car parking.
However..... Its location suits a lot of people, the people are nice to work with, accomodation can be found, especially if willing to share.

You may consider joining german bases. In Germany we have all nationalities (even english, voluntarily!) . And they live , I believe, quite comfortable with english language within germany.
Lot of people in Germany are a little capable of english langguage.
Do not forget all the Italian restaurants and pizzerias which are definitly not run by germans !
But the waitinglist for DTM (nice place to work, night curfue) and SXF (NO night curfue!) is obviously quite long.
Anyway, good luck!
Forgot: DTM and SXF have EZY flights to MXP!
