You may consider joining german bases. In Germany we have all nationalities (even english, voluntarily!) . And they live , I believe, quite comfortable with english language within germany.
Lot of people in Germany are a little capable of english langguage.
Do not forget all the Italian restaurants and pizzerias which are definitly not run by germans
!
But the waitinglist for DTM (nice place to work, night curfue) and SXF (NO night curfue!) is obviously quite long.
