The main difference between the 2 contracts:

Jet Airways 8 weeks on 2 weeks off
Air India Express 6 weeks on 2 weeks off

Pay is fairly identical:

Jet $8700 month net
Air India $7700 month with $12000 end of year bonus yr 1, $13000yr 2, $15000yr 3.

Hope that helps.

I was informed that at AIE you have a lot of layovers... On the other hand Jet takes you back to Munbai almost every day. Can I trust on it?

1. Does the pay include the 2 weeks off?
2. During those 2 weeks off are any tickets available to travel outside India?
3. During the period 'ON' what is the roster pattern like? I assume normal days off have to be given. Are FTL's anything like UK?

Rostering in Jet is 6 days on 1 day off. Economy space confirm ticket is provided with an upgrade in Business if space available within the network of Jet.FO's are the most expencive furniture "on board".They only do R/T and checklists. They also fly the plane from climb (1000ft AGL) till descent (1000ft AGL).They need 1000h on type + 3 consequtives Check rides (1 has to be night time)to make a take off or a landing.

6/1?

Do not like the sound of the 6 on 1 off rostering - say goodbye to ever having a Sat or Sun off !! Pity , really , as I was thinking of applying .
