Do any of you have an agreement in place allowing additional time off on a longer day during a turn around?
We have on every duty day foreseen to be 10hrs or more 1 time an additional 30 minutes on top of the standard 50 min. turnaround.
This goes for 4 sector days as well as longer holiday charters on our 737 fleet (say around 1700 nm 1 way)
Since handling on these outstations takes up most of the time we end up being 15 minutes alone on board the aircraft.
So what do YOU have?

Normal turnaround 25 mins. Duty in excess of 6 hours "should" have a turnaround scheduled in there somewhere that takes it to 35mins so an extra 10mins to stuff a sandwich down ya gob. But this extra turnaround could be at the beginning of the shift or the very last turnaround of the shift so not always very ideal. Sectors are from 4 to 6 plus a positionin shift at the end sometimes.

Most of our turnrounds are long enough for a quick meal break, it's when we are running late that the pressure starts. Easy for us as we can eat in the flightdeck during the flight but much more difficult for the CC. My view is that humans have to eat and it's a flight safety issue, if it's time to eat anyone who wants to can and the departure can wait 10 minutes. Never had a problem from the management despite several keen dispatchers putting the delay down to "crew eating a meal".

No time built in to the schedule at all! Still find time to stuff a sarnie down on a 25 min turnaround though (even if I am signing the fuel chit at the same time).
Not a problem on longer sectors as we can eat in flight (as has been mentioned).
If you want to sit down with a tablecloth and have cheese and biscuits at the end you may be disappointed though
