B737 Salary

Hi,

I would appreciate if anyone can tell me what salary to expect flying the 737 in Asia, seated on the right hand seat: monthly base, per diems, etc...

Best regards,

MD

Asia is a very large continent with B737 operators in many countries, some wealthy countries and some third world.

What you've actually asked is how long is a piece of string.

Contact various airline pilot employment agencies. They will send you spec sheets citing terms, conditions, salary schedule, per diem... etc.

I don't think there are many (any) chances for a non-local to fly in the right seat on a 737 in China or Japan.

Cool

I agree "Boeingdream 787" just answer the guy's question.... if you know the answer that is!

Anyway, I would have hoped that F/O pay would be slightly higher then what you said.

I've been quoted around US$ 10K net for India (accom provided) as an experienced Captain and understand it may be higher then that in Japan, but perhaps lower in China. One does have to keep the cost of living in mind, my understanding is that as a westerner in Japan, cost of living is quite high.

I would expect an F/O to get about 60% of Captain pay. I don't really know, because I didn't go, just basing it on what I am familiar with.

Also not realy clear what MD12 is on about- Isn't an expat but doesn't specify a country- surley you're FROM somewhere?

Most Asian operations (and in Japan almost exclusivley) fill the RHS with local youngsters from their own Cadet programs. There are a few opurtunities for expat FOs (Air Japan, Air China) and $5-8k US would be the norm.

There is a wealth of information available here, but a more specific query would help.

In the day & age of SSTR's F/O's salaries in many a place are by far less than 60% of that of a Captain ..... particularly in India.

There are plenty of right seat jobs in Japan and more and more opening by the day. These are on B737, A320 and B767. You can expect 60% of a Captains salary or put simply about USD7000.
