Depends which base you are at. I was based in Belfast and would nightstop about 3 nights a month on average. Some months there was no nightstops and others you would get loads. Had a regular nightstop in Bristol and Bordeaux, the rest were usually cover for other bases, I spent a couple of very boring weeks in Guernsey because they were short of FOs down there. So you will nightstop from time to time.

Predictable? You are joking. Random is a much better adjective. You can request days off although you are not guaranteed to get them. From BHD the only nightstops in recent months were Bordeaux with the odd secondment to Guernsey which was tedious in the extreme. They had stopped cabin crew from nightstopping on the BODs which made it even worse than before. Hotel in BOD is not particularly close to anywhere either. And don't try and drink your own wine by the pool - miserable to55ers!

Thanks, I'm beginning to get the picture. Anybody from EXT,SOU or BHX anything to say about FlyBe rostering and nightstops?

If you want to do anything on your roster, don't choose bhx as a base. Not much in the way of nightstops at the moment. In the summer however, literally anything is possible. Its not at all unusual to receive changes on check in and out. We certainly get through alot of printer paper!! Most of the other bases seem to be more roster stable, but you work long days wherever you go.

...now, what's wrong with the famous NWI nightstop?
Just got back - and apart from a consistent problem with F/Os not being willing/able to dance (!) we usually have a good time
