Ryanair Share Options Valuable !!

Low-cost airline, Ryanair, today said that many of its Dublin pilots have received windfalls of over E60,000 each by selling their share options, which became exercisable from yesterday.

Based on today's share price of E7.50 the options have a value of E190,000, Ryanair said.

The share options form part of the collective 5 year pay, benefit and share option scheme that the Dublin pilots negotiated directly with the airline in November 2000 and are the ninth tranche of options which Ryanair's Dublin pilots have enjoyed over each of the past nine years.

The total value of these options to each qualifying Dublin pilot since Ryanair floated in 1997 is almost E500,000 and if disposed of at the exercise date, they have generated a total profit of almost E300,000 for each qualifying Dublin pilot, Ryanair said.

the total number of options granted with this scheme was in
the region of 25300 granted at 5 euro, at todays price 7.50 they are worth 63250 euro before 40%tax not 190,000.
when the aggrement was signed they were supposed to be
worth 100,000 sterling!!! at the end of the five year period.

Low-cost airline, Ryanair, today said that ...
Nothing Ryanair says is as it appears. Is there really anyone left who thinks they don't spin everything? The story of the "Share Options" has, on one earlier Ryanair version, provided benefits of in excess of €500,000 to Dublin pilots (using Ryanair maths, that is). How such statements manipulate the English language to provide a misleading perspective is neatly explained by Greenhopper. Also: I note no reference to the fact that Ryanair retaliated against the Dublin pilots by telling them earlier this year that their share options had been withdrawn. By all accounts they were reinstated when the prospect of a quick and successful IALPA court case became obvious.

Ryanair options are gold compared to easyjet's.

eJ share options, issued to pilots in 2001, lapsed in 2004 because the performance targets attached weren't met (surprise). Total value to staff = nil.

In 2003 more options were issued, exercisable in March 2006, again subject to performance targets. For these options to be fully exercisable next March, eJ needed to almost treble profits from the £68m just announced to £176m!!

Without the extra £83m increase in fuel costs the profits would still be £25m short of the performance target.

Total value to staff = nil

1/12/2005 eJ Director Amir Eilon excercised 500,000 options @ 161p.

How much did he trouser? About £800,000. Must be on a different performance target.

More FR bulls##t.
Sold the shares from the 1998 scheme at a good price and after cost of options, brokers commission and tax I was left with €47,000.
The 2000 scheme at todays price of €7.50 is worth just over €36,000 net .
Cliste,your having a laugh mate!
