Maersk/Sterling Any layoffs?
How is the atmosphere in the new company? any layoffs? will there be a bloddy fight over seniority? Or will this merger over in a flash with no reported turbulance, smooth as silk, and a model of all mergers. (the first in history)

Sterling said in September that it was going to cut 13% of its personnel (about 230 staff), all technical and administrative - no flight crew to be axed.
Don't know if that'll change under FL.

Right - the official word is that only about 130 jobs will be lost (others secured through Star Air and sale of the freight business to SAS). No flight crew jobs lost, in fact Sterling wants to increase the fleet.
