If you're at UPS, trust me, stay where you are. A search of PPRUNE will give you a good idea of what we're faced with right now. (While the company is making record profits, the pilots were given a paycut that was termed "a neutral cost pay adjustment") The cost of living here is rising to the point that government employees have been given a 20% payraise for cost of living while we are told that there "is no official rate of inflation in Dubai". I would say that the vast majority of pilots here are fed up and would leave in a heartbeat for something better. That the pickings are still slim is all that is keeping many here at the moment.

Yes, Emirates is hiring. With one airplane per month coming for the foreseeable future that equates to at least 16 new pilots per month required.
