B747-400 in Portugal
Recently seem there are some rumors that AIRLUXOR is planing to operate a B747-400 for summer season, with 500 seats, for worldwide charter service .
It's a great new , since 1982 when TAP phased out this type of aircraft that we haven't seen a B747 operating in Portugal !
Could be a good chance for type-rated pilots !

They were looking to hire either an -200 or -400, recent reports suggests that the hire of the B747 might go ahead but they recently had a set back because they lost the MoD contract to fly the british troops.
It looks like their summer fleet will consist of 4 A320 and 2 A330.
Also 2 of their leased A320 have been returned one of them already joined CSA fleet and the other one will follow shortly.

Anyway Air luxor is not the one you want to fly for, believe me!!!!!
I flew for them 3 years ago on the A 320 :
1. Every end of the month I had to beg for my salary(ex.around the 15th of august I received my salary of june and july)
2. Never received a schedule, so blank days were changed in an Off day at the end of the day if they didn't (ab)use you without you knowing.
3. Difficult to receive 2 days off in a raw, makes it difficult for expats to go home. Sometimes I didn't manage to go home for even 1 day a month.
4. They suggest their pilot's to cheat with their duty times (pilot's around there have contract's yearly renuwable if you know what I mean...). Anyway their contract is worth nothing, PM aviation contract in Jersey=no social law.
5. Moneywise, below average.
6. For them you are not a human but a resource(slave)...
And much more.... But I don't want to spent too much time on them!
Only to say if you can go elswhere, don't hesitate!!!!!!!!
