Question Etihad or Air Mauritius

Hi,

I want to apply to one of these two Airlines.

Could you tell me which one you think is better and why?

Red face

It depends on what you are looking for. It seems that Etihad has recently received 45 applications from MK 340 pilots. This is mainly due to very bad relations with the management and also to the continuous collapse of the rupee(15% in 9 month!) the local currency that pilots get as a salary(wich is therefore 30% below average...). If you join as an F/O don't expect any upgrade to capt before 6 years. Otherwise the lagoon is pretty hot, Mauritius is a good spot for surfers, kiteboarders etc and life is cool....To spend 4 cool years it's ok but how will be the market in 2009?
Have good flights

000,
Are you smoking your socks?
Come on-you forgot to mention the poor guys who are stuck for 4 years on the ATR first before POSSIBLY moving onto a jet! And then another 4-5 years on a jet fleet. After that you too can be among special 3 of 17 guys looking for a command on an A319 earning even less than an F/O on the A340 (S&T included). This is a lottery for upgrade-although a lottery allows you a chance every week, not with MK.

6 years to jet command-Ha ha! That's a good one! By the way ATR time doesn't count for anything, neither do the years on the ATR fleet. This is just for info!

No new jets arriving, turmoil on first floor at flight ops. No need for time on type before joining-they dropped that because no one is applying.

Third world management!

Look up! Look up north I mean- northern hemisphere/middle east

Cool down Where are you,
It seems you've been waiting for this Mou for too long, the only thing I say is that for Kiteboarding and fishing, MK is the perfect place to spend 2 vacation years...
I am also applying up north.
