Concorde pilots
I tried the search function, but couldnt find anything in reagards to BA and/or AF concorde pilot pay.
Just curious, did the concorde pilots get paid more then say a 744 pilot?
Didnt know if its dependent on type or just seniority?
THanks

BA pilots basic pay was not type dependent in the Concorde days, just related to pay point and thus years in company. As a big part of total pay was made up by allowances, the Concorde guys tended to be paid less than their 747 brothers as single nights in JFK didn't match 11 day tours to BKK/SYD.
To make up some of the difference a small premium (called development pay) was added to keep the poor ones above the breadline!

I wish!
Sadly, development pay (9%) was removed some time ago, without intervention from BALPA.
Minority groups don't seem to count for much, as our Flight Engineers found out to their cost!
Carnage Matey!
Yes, I remember having to work as many as eight days a month during the peak times, but fortunately we didn't have to maintain such a fatiguing work load all year round!
