Jordan Aviation (JAV)
Anybody has some info on Jordan Aviation (JAV)? I hear they had a huge problem in CDG during the summer with failed technical safety inspections by the French DGCA on their L1011-500, operated under royalty agreement for Globejet Airlines. It sounded like a big mess over all the French news media during that time. Subsequently, I also heard that these problems spilled over to their A310-200 and -300 in Italy, as well as in France. Now latest news are that, after getting rid of the L1011, they are now operating two B747-200s for the Hajj 2005 under royalty agreement with someone else... Anybody who can shed more light on this outfit, as well as on Globejet which is now operating their L1011s on their own under royalty agreement with a Greece AOC called Gee Bee Air?

the L-1011 freighter has been flown on November 1 th from
Amman Jordan to Athens for re-registering with Gee Bee.
Rumours go that a certain airline from Cyprus called FOS logistics will use this aircraft to fly to Asia.
Routing was announced as Shanghai-New Delhi-Larnaca -Ostend but brokers in Holland confirm that Fos logistics will not operate from Ostend in Belgium but from Maastricht in Holland.
Dutch specialised neswpapers indicate that Fos still is not getting its trafficrights in Asia and doubt if the airline will ever start up.
start-up has been postponed already 4 times.
in the forum under topic "new airline in cyprus" , the pilots who performed the ferry flight from Amman to Athens claim they still waiting for the payment of the job...

Interesting stuff Al Tayara! I am yet to hear that these Globejet guys (apparently a Lebanese investment group) will get anything constructive going with their fleet of L1011-500s they acquired from AirTransat some time ago.

Gee Bee
Gee Bee is owned by a Mr Karabatis. They had some Fokker 50 aircraft as recently as last year but they were all returned to the lessor after a very short period. Karabatis was previously involved with Electra in Greece, an airline that is no more.

They (Theodore Karabatis) are advertising as below. Dont know if they have an AOC, contracts or anything else?

To respond to your original question, "Does anyone have info on Jordan Aviation?", I've had some experience of them through an Israeli intermediary. I would say they're very sharp, very tightly run and they know what they're doing.
Just out of genuine interest, what is the reason for your question? Your main objective seems to be to put some serious knocking copy into the public domain. So what's the reason for your question?

Well, the grapevine has it that they are offering pilot jobs to people who can afford to pay for their type rating on the A310 or A320 in AMM with no experience on type or too much total time, and that would be something to consider for some of us.

I am also interested to find out more about this outfit although not intending to apply or join it

So far the stories i have heard are all about Dutch wannabes having access to their services.
I know of one in particular who is on the 310 but didn't want to say more about his deal

Hi Concordino, that's what I hear. Rumour also has it that these guys have paid for their type rating, but are condemned to sit in some hotel (hostel...?) in AMM and after months and months are still waiting to get any kind of serious time in the right seat, which - of course - is the only way for them to get some pay... (according to the pay-scheme of JAV, actual performed flight hours is the only way to get a salary, as there is no base pay I hear...) 
By the way, I would still be interested to hear from anyone who has some info if JAV is really operating two B747-200s on a royalty agreement for the Hajj 2004/2005 at the moment.
