I'm looking for gouge on Cathay Pacific and Hawaii Aviation 767 ops. Also, does anyone have, or know of, a used copy of "Handling the Big Jets"-Davies? Here in the states it runs for $180 USD which is a bit steep considering I'm staying paying for flight school after nearly 6 years on the job.
I would appreciate any knowlege you all are willing to part with!

Forget the boring book:handling the big jet: if you want to get in to a company other than uk base:
It is to old and british.
An old idiot from 1920 made that book and a lot hapens since.
Remember that all that is uk,is not good and best in the world.
see how much uk lost in the last 10-20 years and the still think they are the best.
The only thing they are good at is the pub life(so boring)
So if you want to get a job read the good book:Ace the technical pilot:

Peter69 - Mate, all the blokes I know who have been hired by Cathay Pacific have recommended to read it over. "Best book ever" is another line I heard from a guy who was just hired by Dragon Air - so I would say it is still very relevant today!
Also, what's with the Attitude towards the Poms? at least they're famous for more than mobile phones....

Handling the big jets is an excellent book - the fundamentals it deals with are just as relevant today. Fly the Wing is good too.
That Ace book is complete !!!!e and full of inaccuracies - having read through it I had to ask myself if the author was even a pilot.
