PARCpilots quit Japan Air Lines Express
Sources tell me that the PARC contract pilots with Japan Air Lines Express (JALEX), have been resigning because of deteriorated contractual conditions, with PARC apparently showing no interest in trying to retain their conditions.
Almost all of those who have resigned, are now employed by airlines paying slightly less than JALEX, but with improved "social time" available (days off, commuting, and sick leave).
If half of the stories that I have heard - of blantant contratual breaches by JALEX - are true, one wonders how well the future bodes for pilots giving consideration to forthcoming MD positions with JALEX, and whether PARC can be trusted to uphold the agreed upon contracts.

I get the feeling that Parc are not that interested in the working conditions. We are contracted for 75 hours per month but the company now works us to nearer 85 hours and up to 28 days away from home at a time. It would appear that with budgets being squeezed due to the price of oil etc contract pilots will be worked to the max. Afterall they do not have the rigid contract afforded to company pilots who are protected by labour law and sometimes a union

The day Frank left PARC was the day they started their downhill slide (late 80's maybe early 90's)............the man was a pure gentleman and his handshake was his word.Unfortunately I never had the priviledge to shake his hand but know a number who would will raise their "dukes" in the bar if ever a bad word was said about him......says a lot when pilots are prepared to go to such lengths for their "paymaster".
Wind the clock foward to these "accountants" that run the outfit now. They are not fit to shine Frank's shoes. As such PARC is just another company desperate for our names on their data base.....and that is precisely how they should be treated.

XBAND,
BARRY IS IN EXCELLENT HEALTH AND STILL INVOLVED IN THE GAME. HE OPERATES OUT OF AN OFFICE IN MALAHIDE AND SUPPLIES CREW TO EUJET AND AIRCONTRACTORS AMONGST OTHERS. HE REMAINS AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN-WHICH IS MORE THAN CAN BE SAID FOR MOST OF THOSE IN SANTRY!!
INCIDENTALLY, A FEW MORE X-EI EMPLOYEES ARE SCHEDULED TO JOIN THE RANKS OF CONTRACT CO-ORDINATORS IN PARC VERY SHORTLY. OUT OF THE FRYING PAN AND INTO THE FIRE ME THINKS!

Barry runs his own outfit in Ireland called AIR. I forget the full name of his company but he has done well (as would be expected) and he is well in bed with Air Contractors in terms of crew supply.
Good Bloke!
PS. Beat me to it... but I'm going to leave this here because it's always nice to read nice words about a nice man.

newt did write Parc are not that interested in the working conditions.
and that seem to be true because the working conditions, somethings like H days (number of day off in 1 month) are more for Japanese pilot than for PARC pilot. Japanse get 10 H day for flying only 50 or 55 hours and PARC pilot fly for 65 hours but get 2 days less time (only 8 H). work harder but rest less.
JEX and JAL pilots recive big bonus salery but PARC pilots only have money taken away.
PARC alwys blaim the JEX for the many problems.
JEX alwys blaim the PARC for not fixing the many problems.
PARC is only like the firewall for JAL.
PARC must protect JAL and dosent want to "rock a boat" so they can keep the contracts. but slowly PARC looses their pilots because they do no work to listen to problems that need correction

Can anyone tell me who was handling the expat contracts for this company ? iacglobal, perhaps ?
Oops...I see the title of the thread. So, let me rephrase it: did iacglobal have any hand in providing pilots to this company ?

It would appear that all is far from well in PARC, reading between the lines of some of these posts.
I worked for them quite some time ago, and never experienced the problems these chappies with JALEX talk about, namely a lack of support from PARC, and inattention to problems.
With the impending departure of another four of them, there will not be a problem there much longer I suppose.

Moderate, Modest & Mild.
I believe that we were "guinea pigs" for both JEX and PARC, as those of us who were not commuting were the first group of foreign pilots to work and live fulltime in Japan for JAL.
The contract offered was not what was delivered - it seemed that JAL management (and one person in particular) took any opportunity they could to break, bend, or twist the agreed contractual conditions at every possible opportunity, with PARC unable (or unwilling) to assist most of the time.
Lying for them (the Japanese) - blatant, outright, bare-faced lying - is the norm.
To a man, every pilot who came here had a positive outlook.
To a man, that has been beaten out of us.
The new B737 offered by PARC, for Air Do, contains most of the conditions we at JEX tried to secure, but had taken away or refused, however it would be wise to be wary if signing one of these contracts, as it might not necessarily be what is ACTUALLY delivered.
And in that case, PARC appear to be powerless to help.

Parc Contracts
I'm currently on a Parc contract with another Asian carrier and am not surprised to hear this news. My contract is also being violated albeit, not as badly as my collegues in Japan. Parc at least is consistent, they care little as long as the seats are filled. I'd be seriously looking elswhere were it not for the fact that overall, this deal is still the best around, all things considered. Parc is currently recruiting more crews here, I think around 25. I'll do my best to let them know what they're in for if I see them.

Do not trust the PARC for the condition for the contract to remane the same. The first time is to let you sign the contract in the original way. The following is to change the many conditions but not to say the conditions is changed.
PARC will say to you this contract is for a long time but the truthful fact is that only the first contract is okay.
