I believe that we were "guinea pigs" for both JEX and PARC, as those of us who were not commuting were the first group of foreign pilots to work and live fulltime in Japan for JAL.

The contract offered was not what was delivered - it seemed that JAL management (and one person in particular) took any opportunity they could to break, bend, or twist the agreed contractual conditions at every possible opportunity, with PARC unable (or unwilling) to assist most of the time.
Lying for them (the Japanese) - blatant, outright, bare-faced lying - is the norm.

To a man, every pilot who came here had a positive outlook.
To a man, that has been beaten out of us.

The new B737 offered by PARC, for Air Do, contains most of the conditions we at JEX tried to secure, but had taken away or refused, however it would be wise to be wary if signing one of these contracts, as it might not necessarily be what is ACTUALLY delivered.
And in that case, PARC appear to be powerless to help.
