As a matter of interest... for those that have JUST had a yes.

Does the DEP Assessment Information Sheet still show 'Pilot Assessment 1' in Day One?

I am British.

It appears to be a half day assessment. The information provided seems to be the same as my last attempt three years ago.

However, unless there is less hanging around I would say the micropat (sic) testing might have gone?

I think it may only be delayed to Day 2.

I doubt anyone trying to get away from the disgrace that the terms and conditions have become at ryanair has got a call from BA!!
Wonder if willy walsh and his pal MOL have made a pact not to hire ryanair guy?

standing by for the abuse..................

Maverick,

For evidence to the contrary, look no further than the posting immediately above yours, a low hours RYR guy with an invite.

Wally.

A friend of mine who is a Ryanair FO has had the call for a BA assessment. He is going in November.

Does anyone know if the simulator used for the assessment will still be the 747-400?

Maverick,

Not that it matters but I am RYR, and I know a few others from here that have been invited.

Anybody else having trouble with available interview dates?

I received the invitation email Sunday evening and logged in to see lots of December availability. I logged on 24 hours later to confirm a date and it says no slots available. Are BA inviting more candidates than they have the capacity to assess or can we expect more dates?

Can anyone confirm that the practice tests on the SHL website are fairly accurate to the ones BA use for day one assessment?

Thanks

Maverick,

Play nicely, I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass. A quick look at Nick's previous posts confirms his status.

Maybe I just have too much time on my hands......

Wally.

Does anybody who have been in the hold pool or previous candidates know what the details are with giving a presentation, and role play?
I see this is part of the assessment!

Brian - the smell of Sex Panther is putting you off... I don't think that applies for pilots. It's just general recruiting info.

There is no role play or presentation (AFAIK) there is, however, generally a pilot/HR monitored group discussion over a topic which tends to place commercial expeidiency and cargo expediency against one another to see if the candidates can come to an agreement on a balance. The trick is not to be the shrinking violet but don't be the 'Apprentice' to$$er either.

Might have changed this time round though so the above could be rubbish!

Wirbel you disappoint me. I was hoping to get the phrase "everything I touch turns to SOLD" in there somewhere...

Well if there are lots of RYR pilots getting interviews, that must be some significant recruitment onto the 737 at Gatwick...

That'll be a bit of a shock. Going from a new NG to a 20 year old 737-400!
