Question Britannia / Thomsonfly

Hi.

Apologies for a bit of a stab in the dark, but there's not a lot floating about on pprune about Brits and Thomsonfly.

I was wondering whether anyone working for Britannia or ThomsonFly had any comments about the differences between working for each. I know that the aircraft are different, but the seniority list is the same... what's the deal with switching from one to to the other? Also, T.F. are advertising for lots of pilots - is this the same on BY mainline, or are there fewer places?

Given the choice, which one would you rather go for?

Regards

As I understand it, the seniority list at TF is shorter, but you have to complete 5 years before you can transfer to Brit. This prevents the bypassing of the Brit seniority list.

Pilots with Tfly are on the same list as mainline. They are frozen on type five years before they can move to mainline subject to availability. If you are Capt. with Tfly and low on the list you will move to right hand seat mainline subject to seniority.

Terms and conditions are different even though the list is the same.

As far as which one to work for? I havent worked for the low cost operation, nor do I want to. I like the variety mainline offers.
