Helios Airways

Just wondering if anyone has any info on Helios Airways regarding lifestyles, rosters, living in Cyprus etc?
Her in doors is keen for me to apply but I want to make sure this is a step forward and not a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire!
Any info would be appreciated.

Seem to be a good company and slowly expanding.

Pilots get 8 days off per month but due to the long sectors flown, in fact get considerably more.

Money is ok, but there is a lack of other benefits.

Cyprus is a great place to live. Pleasant climate, nice people, sensible cost of living etc. Over the past 18 months property prices have started to increase significantly. A good website to check out is www.living-cyprus.com.

Rumour has it that the next aircraft will join the Helios fleet after Christmas and until then all vacancies are filled. The man to ask is Capt George Kikkides (FLT OPS MGR).

Best of luck with your decision. Personally, I would jump at the chance.

Barnstormer: do they have a site where one can find some crew requirement? Or they use a broker?
How do you intend to submit you CV?
I found a site helios-airlines ,but no info about staff.
Very nice in cyprus, but I suggest you look a little into political situation there.A little tense, and unstable,as I've been told last time I've been there.
Otherwise,i guess ,a nice place to be.

Anybody interested in joining Helios as direct entry skipper on either B737-800 or B737-300 send me personal message. Must be type rated with reasonable experience. There are a couple of openings so don't delay.
