Arrow A question for the Ryanair pilots

Could any of you guys in Ryanair please explain what kind of staff travel your company provides?

This question has recently been raised on the thread " Leaving EZY for greener pastures".

Staff travel is one of the issues that affect the EZY staff at he moment.

Many thanks!

Not sure what other airlines afford us staff travel but on our own flights flight deck can travel for free as long as in uniform. If not in uniform then apply via staff travel normal fashion.

The free travel bit is one reason why so many guys come over from other countries because they can go home as often as they like for free as long as in uniform

Say Mach number,

Many thanks for your reply!

Could you please tell me if Ryanair's regular staff travel is based on SBY seats or is it a booked, guaranteed seat like with easyJet?

This is the reason in EZY we often cannot book a ticket for staff rates but only for the full fare even though there may be 10 or more empty seats on the flight...

Many thanks,

Duty travel is usually confirmed unless the flight is full in which case it's standby. Staff private travel is always booked on stand by with just taxes payable plus a processing fee of £5. If the flight is full however, you will normally be able to get a jumpseat depending on captain's approval.

Hope this helps...
