Air Holland Warning!

Air Holland Warning!!!

Any one out there who fancies flying for Air Holland on the Air-Scotland.com routes - a word of warning! I flew for them for a couple of months this summer and have not been paid. I’ve had plenty of promises and excuses from them but no money.

If you do go to them, make sure you get a contract before you do anything, establish how you are going to be paid, get everything in writing and above all do not take their word for anything. It’s worthless. Oh---and good luck!

By the way, if anyone has any ideas how to get money out of a Dutchman, let me know please.

It seems Air Scotland owes Air Holland an enourmous amount of money. I can understand your problem, but there is a lot of owing left & right.

I think Air Scotland had problems with the last people they leased aircraft from / supplied tickets for, can't remember exactly who they were, but I think it was a Greek operation.
their 757 got impounded by BAA for non payment of landing fees and were on the ground for some time until they paid up.

You're right, I think it was Electra, a Greek company.
They're 757 was grounded in Scotland by BAA, and then Air Holland took over flying for Air Scotland.

Their management lives in a dreamworld...

Hopefully for them their contract with TUI and Thomas Cook will work out for them.
They have a new way of getting new (co) pilots...

Make them pay 45K for their own training!!!!!

Hector,

how to get paid :

Just wait for boarding completion, in some exotic outstation, and then just say : "If I haven't got my money within two minutes, I won't fly".

It works ! Trust me.

Unfortunately, only for that flight. After that, you're on the dole!!

(Mind you, maybe better than flying for a bunch that don't pay you!)

An interesting approach! One of our leased pilots tried that from an outstation, apparently his contract company hadnt paid him and demanded money before he'd return to the uk. Fortunately i took the call from him, promptly called the police, had him arrested where he stood for holding an aircraft for ransom, he lost his job and the aircraft returned a few hours later after calling out a local crewmember.....

Just to reiterate the warning, the word on the street is that Air Holland Captains have not been paid yet for last month! So watch how you go lads.
Incidentally, ladies ----you do’nt need to worry. Air Holland does’nt (won’t!?!) employ female pilots anyway!
