MEL V’s DDG

MEL V’s DDG

We have a CAS message. The MEL (accepted by the authority) has an O (operator) task to allow dispatch. However the DDG has an M (maintenance) task.

So… which one do we follow?

I’m particularly confused, because the MMEL is supposed to be part of the DDG, so the MEL should as restrictive, or more restrictive.

Following the MEL for dispatching is usually the right choice, as it is the document that defines the minimum conditions necessary to allow the aircraft to operate.
