Boeing B717 reversers
Hello All,
A friend of mine is modelling a B717. We are a bit stuck for information and photographs of the B717 reversers (especially the innards)
There appears to be two types of RR engines that powered the B717. BR715-A1 and BR715-C1, I'm guessing this might explain the slight difference in reversers.
I have searched and searched for closeups of these reversers but had not joy.
I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone fancies sticking their head inside a BR715 with a digicam or had any more info or pics please.
Regards
Ed

That IMP picture is very old; Impulse handed over it's 717s to Qantas in the early 2000s, so the components (which do look different, I agree) may have changed over time.
It's very common that when an engine gets a thrust upgrade, all future build engines (and engine hardware) get any necessary improvements to handle the higher thrust loads - that becomes the new 'standard'. There will be an associated Service Bulletin to upgrade any older engines and engine hardware to the new standard - incorporation of said S/Bs is a prerequisite to using the higher thrust rating on any older engines.
Since the differences between the two reversers appears minor, I suspect one is the older mark that doesn't have the higher thrust rating capability improvements incorporated.
