You can use it to plot your position as a gross error check on oceanic routes.

Is that mean if I press the freeze*,the MCDU will create a fix that use as a VOR?

It just means that when you press freeze, a snapshot of the current LAT/LONG is taken.
You can then use this position to make a plot on a chart.

I can only find the info on FCOM said that
If there is a discrepancy between the raw data position and the FM position:
PRESS the DATA key on the MCDU.
SELECT the POSITION MONITOR page.
SELECT “FREEZE”.
On the other MCDU: Select the GPS MONITOR page.

But when you found the discrepancy situation then press the freeze*. Is that will get the wrong positon?
