Can you merge ADS-B tracks to determine seperation

As per the title
Our gliding club has had a complaint that the tug cut in front of a microlight in the circuit.
I can see both flights were recorded by Flightaware. Is it possible to overlay the tracks to see who was where when?
many thanks in advance
Phil

Can probably download the track logs separately and import into Google Earth as a KMZ/GpX? IIF you add the timestamps to each trackpoint you can see the closest point of approach.

Probably not doable to any degree of accuracy. FlightAware tracks usually only capture the aircraft at intervals of a minute or so. Cutting in front of another aircraft suggests a manoeuvre lasting only a few seconds, which may well not be discernible on FA.

Many thanks to all.
Flight Radar 24 free has a 7 day replay function which does exactly what I wanted.
Cheers Phil

Phil,

I’m a glider pilot and tow pilot in Canada. I’ve been involved in attempts to do what you are doing.

I would be interested to see the result - anonymized if necessary.

I'd be interested, too - even FR24 only has pretty coarse track coverage, so I'll be surprised if the results throw much light on the respective flightpaths.

If the OP had access to continuous raw ADS-B data (e.g. from a local Mode S receiver), it would be a different story.

Happy to look at the FR24 data if the OP cares to identify the where and when.
