Equi time point from what two points. Nearest diversions or origin and dest? A good start would be to look at the distances and adjust for wind, it doesn't have to be to exact. If its an Airbus, the FMGC will give you an EQTP and the range to closest destinations.

I’m guessing your flight plan gives you the information?

Create a fix and use a range ring, or create a waypoint, corresponding to the info given on the flight plan.

Quite common to do on an oceanic flight which dependent on what scenario you use; eng out, decompression etc. Which is given to you in a lat long and input as a waypoint. Most important to remember to only use on your secondary flight plan not your steering flight plan for creating these points.

Hypothetically, you put all the wind in to the FMS. It will give you ETP between Airport A and B. ETP = Equi time Point = USE the same time from ETP to A or B

We do it either as a time fix or a lat/long waypoint after discontinuity on legs page.

On the Airbus, unless pilot-modified airfields are entered into the ETP page, the default will be the ETP between the entered DEP and DESTN airfields, based on the entered winds, or wind component at the time (or the blended winds once airborne).
