Airlander 10 first flight test
First flight test of the Airlander 10 today. British company Hybrid Air Vehicles towed the Airlander 10 – nicknamed the Flying Bum – out of its hangar at the UK's Cardington Airfield.

Depending on payload / range, I could certainly see a use for these type of machines in the far north of Canada. In a good year, we get to use ice-roads for 3+ months for our heavier loads to remote mining sites, and that is only when the ice reaches 40" thick. In 2006 the season was only 6 weeks - at one $7-Bn project they ended up air-freighting in shotcrete at vast expense.
It's a niche slice of a niche market, but it certainly exists.
Best of luck!!!
