Hi to all
I'm unable to find out what's the difference between OPT vs RECOMMENDED ,the explanation on the FCOM 1 is not detailed enough,anybody to detail me that please?

Optimum is gross wt. vs speed based whereas Recommended is derived from wind and temp data, including that inserted on the LEGS page.
It may or may not make sense...

There was a pretty good article in the Boeing flight ops magazine
on this subject within the last couple of years IIRC. Look for it.
