A330 EFCS1/2 difference
Can someone please enlighten me about the difference between the A330 EFCS1 & EFCS2?
Does each EFCS simply represent each Flight Control Data Concentrator (FCDC)?
To clarify I'm not a pilot. I'm researching maintenance human factors and using the A330 EFCS as a case study.

EFCS is the electronic flight control system. It has 2 channels. Most of the boxes are split down the middle with 2 different cards inside. The FCDC's are basically analogue to digital converters that take readings from sensors around the aircraft and convert them to a digital format that can be used by the flight control system.
