Blue LEDs: application, vision and sleep

Have you noticed before how it is more difficult make out signs illuminated with blue LEDs and on occasion how blue LED aerodrome lighting can appear somewhat fuzzy? I found an interesting article here, explaining the physiological difficulties which blue light presents. Should this be a Certification Standard issue?
